Event Description

"Poetry Connects the World: A Global Celebration of Classical Chinese Poetry" centers on the theme of "Harmony Between People and Nature" and focuses on four key ideas, "heaven," "people," "mountains," and "water." The event invites Chinese poetry lovers around the world to submit creative short videos. Whether you are just beginning to learn Chinese characters or can already recite the Three Hundred Tang Poems; whether you express yourself through voice, painting, dance, or writing, as long as you love the Chinese language, have a passion for poetry, and feel a deep affinity with nature, you are welcome to capture poetic moments on camera and join poetry lovers worldwide in this shared celebration.

Event Information

【Eligibility】
1. Chinese language learners and enthusiasts of Chinese culture worldwide. Group participation is encouraged.
2. Participants must be non-native Chinese speakers and non-Chinese nationals.
3. Minors must obtain consent from a legal guardian to participate.
【Event Schedule】
April 20 to May 20: Submit works via the event's dedicated webpage.
May 21 to early June: Expert review combined with global public voting.
June 5: Closing ceremony of the "Global Poetry Gathering: Mangzhong," held in Nanjing.
Early June: Announcement of award winners.

Submission and Showcase

【Submission】
This page is the event's only official submission channel. You are invited to select Chinese classical poems related to the themes of "heaven, people, mountains, and water" and create works for one or more of the sections: "Sound," "Visuals," or "Stories."

Note: This list is provided for reference only and is not restrictive. You are welcome to choose any other Chinese classical poems you prefer.
【Showcase】
After review, selected submissions will be featured on this page. Participants can like and interact with the works, competing for the title of "Global Fan Favorite."

Submission Requirements

Video Filming: The video should be 1–3 minutes long and filmed in landscape orientation using a mobile phone or professional equipment. If filming with a mobile phone, it is recommended to use a tripod, stabilizer, or other supporting equipment to ensure stable and clear footage.。

Content Guidelines: Submissions must be original, free of copyright disputes, and convey positive, constructive content.。

Core Requirement: The video must include at least two lines from Chinese classical poems related to "heaven," "people," "mountains," or "water."。

Bonus Highlights: Incorporating natural landscapes, cityscapes, or everyday life from your country is encouraged.。

Language Options: Chinese only, Chinese-English bilingual, or your native language with Chinese subtitles are all acceptable. If subtitles are included, they should appear at the bottom of the video and should not occupy more than one quarter of the screen. Please do not include maps, national flags, third-party commercial logos, or controversial content.。

AI tools may be used to assist in creation. If used, please indicate the name of the tool and briefly describe how it was used in the creative process.。

Rising Star Award: Presented to participants under the age of 12. Recipients of this award are not eligible for other awards.

1. All submissions must be original works, and contributors must hold full copyright.

2. Any legal issues involving rights of reputation, copyright, or portrait rights in the video are the sole responsibility of the contributor. Contributors must also declare that their work does not infringe upon the legitimate rights of any third party.

3. Contributors agree that the organizers and hosts may edit or adapt the submitted works.

4. Once submitted, the submitter grants the organizers and co-organizers permission to use the work for event promotion, including publication, exhibition, and presentation, without additional remuneration.
